Description

This is a 2 panel mosaic 42 x 180 s for each panel. Made under Bortle 1 Namibian sky.

During processing of the picture, I've found this strange looking artifact in the stack:

After closer inspection I've found it was an asteroid - 19 Fortuna. It orbits the Sun between Mars and Jupiter and it's one of the biggest objects of main asteroid belt. It was discovered in 1852 by John Russell Hind. In the animation below you can see it moving over 2 hours period:
